Antique Hungarian Box Bench (sold)
A beautiful antique Hungarian box bench.
This is a super quirky piece with some additions during its life, namely the bench seat lid has been split into two lifting sections rather than one large bench lid (I imagine for a child to access, much easier for little hands to lift a small section than a whole bench lid) both sides lift and are in full working order, newer strips of wood added under the small section of the bench lid again I imagine to provide extra bench lid strength to the smaller section.
Bench is sturdy and sound and in good condition commensurate for its age,
Measures: 190cm long x 47cm deep x 88cm tall - Seat height is 46cm
